Who we are

Industry DJ School (Auckland, New Zealand) runs this student platform, our courses, bookings and related services. Questions or requests about your information: email enquiries@industrydjschool.com.

What we collect

  • Account details — your name, email address, phone number and password (stored encrypted), plus an optional profile photo.
  • Learning records — course enrolments, lesson progress, quiz results, certificates, and assessment submissions you upload (which can include video and audio recordings of you).
  • Bookings and purchases — lesson and studio bookings, and records of course purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Kids & Teens enquiries — if you enquire for your child we collect the child's first name and age group along with your (the parent's) contact details. We only ever deal with the parent or guardian.
  • Messages — support messages and anything you send us on WhatsApp, email or through the platform.

How we use it

To run your courses and bookings, mark your assessments, issue certificates, answer your messages, send you service emails (like booking confirmations and reminders), and improve the school. We don't sell your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run the platform: secure cloud hosting and database providers, Stripe (payments), and communication providers for email, SMS/WhatsApp and phone support. Some of these providers store data outside New Zealand; we choose providers with strong security practices.

How long we keep it

While your account is active, and afterwards only as long as we need it for legal and accounting purposes. Deleting your account (Settings → Danger zone → Delete account) removes your sign-in and personal details immediately and anonymises your learning records.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can delete your account yourself in the app, or email us and we'll help. If you're not happy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
